Around 400 customers had their details nabbed in the digital raid.
Sony has been on the receiving end of a hacking attack, according to Reuters, which saw around 400 China and Taiwan-based customers have their personal details stolen.
The raid on Sony's third party servers means the crooks now have names and email info, though apparently no financial details were accessed.
A spokesman said Sony is in the dark as to what prompted the invasion, but a source added that customer details are usually retained following promos and events.
With news like this, it's unsurprising 57 per cent of app users avoid some offerings due to privacy fears.
