Needlework: March Break Kids and Teen Classes!

We've been asked many times by parents and grandparents alike to put
together kids and teen sewing classes --? and so we have! We have a
March Break program for the creative, crafty kids in your life who are
eager to get behind a sewing machine. These classes will run from
Tuesday March 12th to Thursday March 14th. Kids ages 8-12 in the
morning; teens 13+ in the afternoon. Here's what we have lined up for
them!

Sewing Machine Basics + Tote for Kids
$105 includes tools and thread, fabric not included
Tuesday March 12 to Thursday March 14th, 9am - 12pm each day

In this three session series, students will learn all the ins and outs of a sewing machine while making a sweet and simple pillow cover, as well as a fun and practical reversible tote bag. In addition to getting comfortable using a sewing machine, students will learn proper pinning and cutting techniques, explore colour and patterns, and gain confidence to tackle future sewing projects. Zero sewing experience necessary!


Sewing Machine Basics + Wiksten Tank for Teens
$115 includes tools thread and commercial pattern, fabric not included
Tuesday March 12 to Thursday March 14th, 1:30 - 4:30pm each day

Day one of this three session course is our popular introductory class, Sewing Machine Basics, but strictly for teens. Students will learn the ins and outs of a sewing machine while making a simple envelope back pillow cover. In day two and three,?students will learn how to follow a pattern and sew the super popular and classic Wiksten Tank. This pattern introduces lovely french seams, a front pocket, and bias binding to create professionally finished garment. Students can choose to make the tank top or tank dress. No previous sewing experience is necessary.
